Swiss retailer Migros selects Core Solutions to scale private-label sourcing
New York City Migros has selected Core Solutions to support the retailer’s growth in direct sourcing. Migros is Switzerland’s leading retailer and operates the country’s largest supermarket chain and other retail outlets including Globus department stores.
Today, More than 95% of the items on Migros’ shelves come from its own brands, and many of which are manufactured by the company itself. Migros (Hong Kong), the company’s buying office in Asia with subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen, is currently implementing Core Solutions’ CBX PLM, Sourcing and Order Management modules to streamline sourcing in Asia of private-labeled goods. Migros (Hong Kong) will use the CBX to source hardgoods, apparel and food products and drive improvements in operational efficiencies and cost of goods.

The objective of this project will help unify our sourcing process and setup the operation for scalability and efficiency to meet the demands of the continuing growth,” said Sacha Waegeli, managing director of Migros (Hong Kong). “We also are expecting lead time benefits as a result of our automation.”
