Survey Ranks Target Among Best Places for Career Launch

Minneapolis In a recent survey conducted by BusinessWeek, Target was the top-ranked retailer on the “Best Places to Launch a Career” list. Target placed 14th on a list of 119 companies. Other retailers on the list included Macy’s, ranked 56th; Walgreen’s, at No. 79; Kohl’s, at No. 94; Abercrombie & Fitch, No. 98; and rounding out the list of retailers, Sears, ranked No. 110.

The ranking is compiled from surveys conducted by BusinessWeek of career-services directors at U.S.- based colleges, as well as a poll of the employers being considered. These results were combined with a survey of 40,000 college students that was conducted by Universum USA, a research company based in Philadelphia.
