Survey: Boomer women buying clothes online
New York City A report released Tuesday by MediaPost Communications found that more Boomer-aged women are buying apparel online.
In a survey conducted with 600 women age 50 and older, 13% buy clothes only online, while two out of three do at least some of their clothes shopping there.
Eighty-four percent of the respondents described retail salespeople as indifferent, inexperienced, invisible or outright rude. Only 16% find sales associates well-trained and helpful.
Forty-seven percent of respondents confirmed that they buy clothes "whenever I am in the mood," and only 11% said they shop only during major sales.
