Supervalu Joins GreenChill Partnership
Minneapolis Supervalu has joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) GreenChill Advanced Refrigeration Partnership, a voluntary program to promote green technologies, strategies and practices that protect the ozone layer and reduce greenhouse gases.
“As a corporate citizen, SUPERVALU has a responsibility to minimize our environmental footprint,” said John Domino, VP of facilities, energy, environmental and engineering, Supervalu. “The GreenChill Partnership is another example of our ongoing commitment to reduce waste, use energy more efficiently and operate more sustainably.” The GreenChill Advanced Refrigeration Partnership is an EPA cooperative alliance with the supermarket industry and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of advanced technologies, strategies, and practices that reduce emissions of ozone-depleting substances and greenhouse gases.
