Supervalu Cuts 90 Positions

Minneapolis Supervalu Inc. has cut 90 corporate headquarters positions.

Supervalu also will not fill 60 open positions. The company announced earlier this month it would close 50 stores across the country.

Haley Meyer, a spokeswoman for the company, said Supervalu doesn’t yet know how many positions will be eliminated with the store closings.

About 190,000 people work for Supervalu across the country.
