Subway adds new POS chainwide
Subway recently launched a company-wide point-of-sale rollout that will impact its restaurants across the globe.
Following a thorough evaluation of the marketplace, Milford, Conn.-based Subway chose EverServ POS hardware from PAR Technology, New Hartford, Conn. The solution contains energy-saving features and rugged architecture, two factors that contribute to a low total cost of ownership and long product lifespan.
“The hardware’s open, flexible technology and robust functionality makes it easier to integrate within our restaurants in a way that is seamless to our in-store operations,” said Thys Van Hout, Subway chief technology officer. “During our detailed evaluation and selection process, PAR Technology exceeded our rigorous requirements.”
The quick-service chain began adding the hardware during the second quarter. The technology will be installed in all of Subway’s 30,000 restaurants worldwide, according to a PAR Technology spokesman.
