Store design competition extends entry deadline

2/16/2017

The Retail Design Institute has extend the deadline for submission of entries to the International Store Design Competition to March 1, 2017

Design firms and in-house retail design teams from around the globe are invited to submit projects for the Retail Design Institute’s annual competition. Eligible projects are those completed between January 1 and December 31, 2016.

All submissions accepted online at: Retaildesigninstitute.org/designcompetition

The contest celebrates exceptional retail experiences across more than 20 categories from full-line department and specialty stores to restaurants and pop-ups. This year’s judging panel consists of Institute professional members from its Minneapolis | St. Paul Chapter and other noted retail design experts.

Finalists will be announced in early April. An awards ceremony and fundraiser gala honoring winners will take place May 24, 2017, in New York City. Complete details coming soon. A portion of each entry fee benefits the Institute's Student Design Competition Prize Fund.

The original store design competition, now in its 46th year, attracts the best of the best in Store Design worldwide. The industry's only totally peer-reviewed competition managed in turn, by each chapter. On average, more than 200 international entrants vie for top awards.
