Stop & Shop, Peapod Open New Grocery-Delivering Facility

Boston, Peapod LLC and Stop & Shop supermarkets have opened a facility near Boston dedicated to delivering groceries to area schools, businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Deliveries will be made between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays to downtown Boston and several suburbs.

“A growing trend in the workplace today is to provide convenient, nutritious food and beverages on-site for employees,” says Andrew Parkinson, president of Peapod. “Peapod by Stop & Shop makes it easier for companies to do so by offering the convenience of online grocery shopping and delivery.”
