8/17/2007

QUINCY, Mass. The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. has announced the latest price cuts under its Value Improvement Program. The company said that starting today, the company is offering lower prices on cookies and crackers, in time for the back-to-school season.

"Cookies and crackers are a staple of the brown-bagged school lunch," said Andrea Astrachan, vp of consumer affairs for The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. "Now, with our new, lower prices, these lunch mainstays are an even better value for our customers, whether it's in bulk or in individual snack-sized packages."

Stop & Shop's Value Improvement Program launched in late 2006 and combines Stop & Shop's wide range of products and categories and new low prices every day. Stop & Shop customers will continue to see VIP rolling out across store aisles in the months to come.
