Stop & Shop cuts prices on health, beauty products

QUINCY, Mass. Stop & Shop has slashed prices on thousands of items in its health and beauty care departments. Reductions can be found on items such as shampoo, aspirin and vitamins, the company reported.

“We’re committed to bringing our customers great value every time they shop in our stores,” said Andrea Astrachan, consumer advisor for Stop & Shop. “Now we’ve taken that commitment to another level, lowering prices on more than 5,000 items that our customers use every day in health and beauty care. We’ve listened to our customers, we know these are products they use every day, and we’ve lowered our prices on these items so they won’t have to go elsewhere to get a great deal.”

The reductions in health and beauty product prices is part of the company's efforts to lower prices throughout the store. Through its "Low Prices Every Day" campaign, Stop & Shop has lowered prices on thousands of other products including produce, dairy products, cookies and crackers, salad dressings, condiments, frozen foods, water, coffee, juices, cereal, pet foods, paper goods, baby care products and household supplies.
