Steve Madden selects MarketLive to build e-commerce site for Big Buddha


Petaluma, Calif. MarketLive Monday announced that Steve Madden has selected MarketLive to build a new e-commerce Web site for newly acquired Big Buddha, a designer and marketer of fashion-forward handbags.

"We selected MarketLive to help us with our new e-commerce site for Big Buddha because of the combination of a rich flexible platform and the expertise and service of the MarketLive team," said Andrew Koven, president of e-commerce and customer experience at Steve Madden. "This new site is an extension of the Steve Madden business, and is critical to our 2010 growth plans. We look forward to working with MarketLive as we strengthen our e-commerce channel now and in the future."

The new site will enable Big Buddha to extend the Steve Madden brand to its customer base and grow revenues even faster than previously planned, according to MarketLive. The platform combines e-commerce software, scalable IT infrastructure, and the ability to easily integrate third-party and custom-built features.

Big Buddha will also have access to MarketLive Solutions, including intelligent analytics as well as implementation and support services. Additionally, the retailer will participate in MarketLive Connections, a network of useful connections with similar retailers, partners, and industry experts.
