Stein Mart jewelry buyer honored by trade publication

JACKSONVILLE, Fla . -- Stein Mart announced that its costume and sterling jewelry buyer, Lori Cassidy, was named to the 2011 Merchants Hall of Fame by the trade publicationAccessories magazine.

Cassidy, who has been buying for Stein Mart for 15 years, began her career as a belts, handbags and leather goods buyer. She then progressed to sweaters, dresses and related separates before becoming Stein Mart’s eye for costume and sterling jewelry. With 28 years of retail experience, Cassidy has prior experience buying for Dillard’s, Bueno Handbags, Sag Harbor and Upton’s.

“Accessories magazine has a tradition of honoring a ‘retailer of the year’ every year and that will continue. In 2011, we also want to recognize the men and women who are outstanding merchants no matter who they work for or how many dollars they have to spend,” stated Lorrie Frost, Accessories publisher.
