Stater Bros. Charities taps new executive director

The nonprofit charity arm of Stater Bros. Markets has promoted Nancy Negrette to executive director.



In her new position, Negrette will work with Stater Bros. Charities CEO Sally Atkinson to oversee the nonprofit’s efforts in the areas the company’s employees work.



"Nancy is a well-respected and valuable member of our management team, and we have great confidence that she will do an outstanding job of managing Stater Bros. Charities," the charity’s board chairman, Jack Brown, said. "This promotion is a result of her leadership skills and the contributions that she has made towards the success of the company's philanthropic arm.”



Negrette joined the now six-year-old charity in 2012 as a volunteer and was quickly appointed manager in 2013. Now she’ll be furthering the nonprofit’s community involvement, which also includes hunger relief programs, children’s programs, and veteran assistance.
