Staples Ups Recycled Paper Offerings
Framingham, Mass. Staples announced Monday that it will make Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paper a standard offering for black-and-white, high-speed copy and print jobs. Staples is the first national copy and print operation to make such a move.
According to the company, the FSC-certified paper uses at least 50% post-consumer recycled waste content; Staples will provide both 100% and 50% post-consumer recycled content.
Staples said it plans to have the majority of paper products it offers comply to FSC standards by the end of 2010.
