Staples teams with Russia's Pragmatic Express to supply international business

Framingham, Mass. Staples said Wednesday that it has established a partnership with Russian office products company Pragmatic Express Ltd. to work together on international accounts exclusively.

Moscow-based Pragmatic Express said it ended a deal with Lyreco in August in order to work with Staples. Pragmatic Express sells office and computer supplies, facility products and related services.

"This alliance represents a unique opportunity for (Staples) to serve both new and existing accounts that are looking for (its) expertise and industry-leading service levels in the Russian market," Rob Vale, president of Staples Europe, said in a statement.
