Staples in Pact With Dell

New York City, Staples Inc. said on Monday it will start selling Dell Inc. personal computers, printers, monitors and toner in its stores.

The items will start showing up in November in some 1,400 Staples stores.

Dell, which built its business almost exclusively by selling products over the phone and Internet, recently began working with retailers to boost flagging sales and take back market share from rival Hewlett-Packard Co.
