Staples names senior vp of Quill

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. Staples has named Michael Patriarca to the position of senior vp of Quill. He will oversee the catalog and online business serving small and medium-sized businesses. Patriarca reports to Joe Doody, president of Staples North American delivery.

Previously, Patriarca was vp of Merchandising at Quill. Patriarca started his career with Staples in 1993 in finance, and became director of finance for U.S. stores in 1997. In 2000, he joined Quill as vp and controller and became vp of Quill operations in 2003 with overall responsibility for distribution, supply chain, delivery and call center operations.
