Staples gets a new strategist

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. Staples announced the appointment of Amee Chande as SVP strategy, responsible for working with senior management to develop all elements of the company’s global strategy. Chande reports to John Mahoney, Staples vice chairman and CFO.

“Amee brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Staples,” said Mahoney. “With her proven leadership skills, Amee will work closely with teams across Staples to build on our company-wide strategic plans.”

Chande joins Staples from Wal-Mart Stores where she served most recently as VP new business development and previously as VP healthcare strategy and communications. Prior to Wal-Mart, she was a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Co.
