Staples Begins Layoffs at Corporate Express

Framingham, Mass. Staples Inc. has started to lay off employees at its Corporate Express unit as it combines the two companies' operations, according to the Rocky Mountain News. A company spokesman didn’t specify how many people would be affected or which locations would be involved.

Staples made a $2.7 billion deal in May to acquire Corporate Express in May.
