Sports Authority to Open 11 Stores

Englewood, Colo. The Sports Authority Tuesday announced it will open 11 stores in eight different states Saturday, Aug. 16. The grand openings will bring the total number of Sports Authority retail outlets to 441 nationwide.

The new stores will each average more than 40,000 sq. ft. in size.  For all of 2008, Sports Authority plans on opening a total of 37 new locations  throughout the country.
