SpiralFrog names licensing vp
NEW YORK SpiralFrog, a free ad-supported Web-based music service, has appointed Jennifer Link as vp of licensing. Link will lead content expansion efforts and secure additional licensing agreements with record labels, publishers and producers.
“We are pleased to welcome Jennifer to the SpiralFrog team. She joins us at an exciting and imperative time in our company’s history, as we recently launched our Web-based music experience in North America,” said Frances Preston, former president and ceo of BMI, and SpiralFrog board member. “Her experience and knowledge of the music industry will be crucial to securing additional licensing agreements with record labels, publishers and producers.”
Link began her career in the industry in 1999 at BMG Entertainment licensing for a wide array of products, including CD’s, DVD’s and digital media. After five years with BMG, she moved to Spike TV, where she negotiated client talent, production and licensing agreements for the channel. Link departed Spike TV to join Warner Music Group, where she managed the East Coast licensing for all digital, new media and physical licensing.
