The 400,000-sq.-ft. retail component of The Source, a new mixed-use project in Buena Park, California will be opening in 2017’s first quarter, according to developer M+D Properties.
A highlight of the center will be the nation’s first CGV Cultureplex, a concept pioneered by the South Korean movie theater chain CJ CGV. It features 4DX theaters with motion seats and ScreenX, which employs six screens and projectors to surround viewers with movie images.
Among the other 30 tenants opening at the center are OOAK Kitchen, a flagship restaurant by Shi Wei Tian; Olympus Screen Golf & Bar, Southern California’s first virtual screen golf venue; and Copley, a boutique offering luxury brands such as Manolo Blahnik, Vera Wang, and MCM.
The Source, which borders the Knott’s Berry Farm amusement park, also consists of a 60,000-sq.ft. office building and a 174-room Hilton Hotel.
