Smith's Food & Drug to Install U.S. Bank Branches

Salt Lake City Smith's Food & Drug Stores, owned by Kroger Co., plans to install 49 full-service in-store U.S. Bank operations in its stores in Nevada and Utah. The installations will be completed in the first quarter of 2009.

In Nevada, U.S. Bank will replace 28 Nevada State Bank offices in Smith's stores. In Utah, it will replace Zions Bank inside 21 Smith's stores.

The new bank locations will be open seven days a week in Nevada, and six days a week in Utah.

Smith's operates 132 stores in seven Western states, including 47 in Utah and 41 in Nevada.
