Smith named general manager of the Cooking Channel

NEW YORK Food Network executive Michael Smith has been named general manager of the Cooking Channel, formerly the Fine Living Network.

Smith most recently served as SVP marketing for Food Network. In his new role he will oversee development and production of the Cooking Channel.
