Slumberland looks to improve operational efficiency, customer service

Milwaukee Slumberland Furniture is leveraging RedPrairie’s Warehouse Management solution as a core solution in the company’s efforts to improve operational efficiency and customer service. Slumberland will bring a new, more intense focus to supply chain initiatives and internal efficiency companywide.

Since implementing the solution, Slumberland has seen decreases in overall costs, and heightened visibility into existing inventory -- allowing the organization to place the right products in the right place, at the right time. “In the coming months, our organization will take on an even more elevated plan to improve customer service,” said Jamie Page, director of information services, Slumberland Furniture. “The success we’ve seen with RedPrairie’s Warehouse Management solution has led us to examine further system enhancements in an effort to drive increased efficiency in both our supply chain and distribution operations. RedPrairie’s products will continue to be a part of that strategy, as they have been a cornerstone in our distribution facilities for quite some time. Further optimizing our warehouses is a key component in helping to create the best experience for our customers overall.”

With three distribution centers and 117 corporate and franchised stores in 10 states, Slumberland elected RedPrairie as one of a small cadre of solutions Slumberland deemed critical to their business.
