A new, small-format grocery concept from McCaffrey's Food Markets — Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s — has opened in a restored 1928 industrial art deco building in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, that originally housed a Ford dealership.
The 13,500-sq-ft. space is positioned as an urban gourmet grocery store. It includes such features as a crepe station, custom cakes, a coffee bar, a comfortable seating area and hundreds of organic and exotic product offerings, chef-crafted, gourmet prepared foods, and an on-site catering coordinator.
The store design, by Tampa, Florida-based api (+), emphasizes the building's historic charm, original structure and classic details. Exposed steel trusses, restored wood ceilings, rugged brick and polished concrete frame a strong merchandising program and a dynamic shopping experience.
