Simmons names new president U.S. sales and Canada

Simmons Bedding has named Tony Smith as president U.S. sales and Simmons Canada. Smith reports to Simmons CEO Gary Fazio and is responsible for all U.S. sales functions as well as the company’s Canadian business unit.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Tony’s experience and capabilities on board,” said Fazio. “Tony has an impressive track record and proven success across all facets of the organizations with which he has worked. I look forward to his many contributions as a member of the Simmons executive leadership team.”

Most recently, Smith was president and CEO of Fort Lauderdale-based International Bedding, a $125 million bedding manufacturer with five factories and more than 600 employees. Prior to International Bedding, he spent 22 years at Sealy, serving in various roles including VP sales and regional VP. He was later named chief operating officer of Sealy Canada.
