9/9/2013

SAN FRANCISCO — Shutl, a same-day and same-hour delivery platform, has appointed John Kelly as the company’s EVP of retail. In his role, Kelly will be responsible for recruiting leading multichannel retailers to Shutl's same-day and same-hour delivery platform on a global scale.

Kelly joins Shutl from TellApart, where he was VP of sales and responsible for driving adoption of the company's data-powered marketing solutions platform by retailers. Prior to TellApart, Kelly was VP of sales for Criteo, a personalized retargeting company. He also spent four years at Yahoo, where he was part of the global strategic partnerships group and Yahoo! Shopping. He began his Internet career at AOL doing international business development

"I have spent 13 years helping retailers adopt technology solutions that enable them to compete in the digital world," said Kelly. "I am very excited to be bringing the world's leading delivery solution to market at a time when multichannel retailers around the world are feeling considerable pressure from their pure-play competitors. Shutl now enables them to create a sustainable competitive advantage by leveraging their store network to offer a consumer proposition that is compelling enough to attract and retain customers."

"I am delighted to have John leading our retail efforts at such a critical juncture for our business," said Tom Allason, CEO and founder, Shutl. "We have our sights firmly set on becoming the global leader in our space and John has what it takes to help us achieve this ambition."
