ShopRite teams with MyWebGrocer to launch mobile app

Keasbey, N.J. ShopRite said it has introduced a tool that is the first mobile phone app on Android’s operating system dedicated to weekly grocery specials.

The tool was developed by MyWebGrocer and first introduced as an Apple iPhone and iTouch app last November.

After selecting a preferred store, users receive price updates automatically each Sunday morning. They can browse specials by category, build a shopping list and synchronize lists between their device and shopping list on ShopRite.com.

Voice command capabilities to add items to a shopping list are available, but only to Android users.
