Shopko to open new stores in the Midwest

GREEN BAY, Wis. Shopko announced today that it intends to open two new stores in the Midwest in the fall of 2008. The stores will be located in Sussex, Wis. and Northbranch, Minn.

“This announcement represents the continuation of an exciting growth phase for Shopko,” said Michael MacDonald, chairman and ceo of Shopko.

Earlier this year Shopko broke ground on its first new store in six years. The new store design features new lighting and fixturing to allow customers to easily see the merchandise, as well as aisle pattern and signage designed to make the customer shopping experience more efficient.
