Shopko appoints new cio

GREEN BAY, Wis. Shopko has announced the appointment of Tammy Hermann as senior vp and cio. Hermann will report to Michael MacDonald, chairman and ceo.

Hermann has been with Shopko and Pamida for six years in the information dervices division. She has more than 23 years of information services experience with companies such as TD Ameritrade and Mutual of Omaha and served as a senior level consultant for companies such as Walt Disney World in Florida and Western Union. 

The company also announced that Ray Petersen has been named chief technology officer and vp of e-commerce reporting to Hermann. Petersen has been the vp of operations technology and information security for the past three years and has a broad-based knowledge of Shopko systems and operations.
