Shopko adds feminine appeal to stores
GREEN BAY, Wis. Shopko is testing out a new, more feminine look to appeal to its customer base, which the company describes as mothers with children at home.
The company recently remodeled Shopko stores in Great Falls, Mont.; Twin Falls, Idaho; Rapid City, S.D.; and Logan, Utah.
According to Shopko vp of store planning, the new stores will feature a warm palette with modern colors and design details. In addition, the stores will include focal fixtures in the jewelry, accessories, apparel and home categories, as well as an updated pharmacy and optical area. Upgraded lighting and dynamic signing were also added to help guide shoppers throughout the store.
"You always have to stay fresh, the customer demands that," said Mike MacDonald, Shopko chairman and chief executive officer. "We're evolving with our customers and their needs."
Shopko has completed 45 store remodels over the past few years, nine of them in the past year. The newly remodeled stores also feature Shopko’s new logo with a tag line geared specifically toward that female customer, “My Life. My Style. My Store.”
