Shaquille O'Neal enlisted to endorse Monster products

11/6/2013

Talk about an appropriate spokesperson. Monster, a leading manufacturer of headphones and personal audio equipment, has enlisted retired basketball superstar Dr. Shaquille O'Neal to endorse the company’s products across multiple categories.

"I am excited that we are collaborating with Shaq to market Monster's products. His bigger than life personality, coupled with his keen marketing experience and sense is a great fit for the Monster brand," said head ‘Monster’ " Noel Lee.

"Nobody does studio quality sound better than Monster. They absolutely revolutionized the headphone market. I'm excited to partner with them as they enter the tablet and rechargeable battery space. We have a few more products coming soon too," added O'Neal.

The first of two Monster products O'Neal will endorse for the company is the Monster M7 premium tablet, available exclusively online at Walmart.com for $149.

Monster and O'Neal will also market Monster's new Monster Powercard, one of the world's thinnest rechargeable smartphone backup batteries. The ultra-thin, credit card-sized Monster Powercard features advanced Monster supercharging technology and is capable of charging smartphones with a five-hour boost in a third of the time compared to competitive USB 2.0 charging solutions. The Monster Powercard is available at Verizon stores in silver, red and black for $49.95.

Monster was founded more than 30 years ago by Lee. The company engineered the sound of the Beats by Dr. Dre® headphones, and has become the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance, sonically superior headphones, all of which feature the company's Pure Monster Sound. Monster is also a leading global manufacturer of high-performance home entertainment, audio, home cinema, computer and gaming products, as well as mobile accessories and professional audio equipment. The company also provides high-performance AC power line conditioning and protection products for audio/video systems, as well as energy-saving power products.

O’Neal is a household name who won four world championships, three NBA Finals MVP awards and appeared in 15 All-Star games.
