SGK taps new SVP, brand strategy

6/4/2014

SGK, formerly marketed as Schawk, a leading global brand development, activation and deployment company that drives brand performance, has appointed Andrew Flynn as SVP of brand strategy.

In this new role, Flynn will focus on identifying and developing strategic brand solutions for clients to help drive brand performance by leveraging the services offered by Brandimage and Anthem, part of SGK's brand development group, and Schawk, the company's brand deployment business.

Flynn, previously a partner at Prophet, a strategic management consultancy, has worked with clients to create and implement transformational growth strategies across multiple industries from CPG and retail to technology, financial services, energy and B2B services. As a co-leader of Prophet's Brand Strategy practice, he was responsible for the development of the brand and marketing IP that spans the major issue sets faced by CMOs and CGOs.

"Andy will play a leading role in the development and delivery of growth solutions that create real value for our clients,” said president Eric Ashworth. “He will reach across the client bases of each of our businesses to create deeper relationships at the executive level, identify transformational growth opportunities and scale service offerings. He will also provide strategic points of connection between the brands when appropriate."

"This is a hugely exciting opportunity. I look forward to working with the many talented executives at Brandimage, Anthem and Schawk to make SGK the first choice for clients with complex business and marketing challenges. The stakes have never been higher for brands to perform, and their challenges have never been greater. I look forward to uncovering unique growth opportunities for our clients' brands while driving brand profitability," added Flynn.

Flynn has more than 20 years of experience to SGK. He spent the previous 15 years at Prophet, the most recent eight years as Partner. He received a BA in American history at Princeton University and an MBA in entrepreneurship and strategic marketing from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
