Sears tests site-to-store concept

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Sears Holdings plans to open a new concept store in Joliet, Ill. that will allow shoppers to order items online and then pick them up in the store or at a drive-through center, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The MyGofer concept will occupy the space of an existing Kmart store that is closing on Feb. 15. Construction will begin in March to turn the building into a MyGofer store that is expected to open by this summer. According to the Chicago Tribune, the majority of the store will be used to store merchandise, with space for a showroom.
