Sears names new heads of hardware units

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Sears Holdings on Thursday, March 27, announced new leadership in its tools, lawn and garden, and appliances unit. John Froman will join the company's executive team as senior vp and president of tools and lawn and garden. Douglas Moore has been promoted to senior vp and president of appliances.

Froman was most recently with Namco, a regional chain of family recreation superstores, where he served as ceofor two years. Prior to Namco, he spent 19 years at Circuit City Stores, where he served as evp and coo for four years. In that capacity, he directed all store operations, distribution, product service, real estate, construction, store design, store services, loss prevention, procurement and corporate operations.

Moore started with the company in June 2007 as senior vp of hardlines merchandising. Prior to Sears Holdings, he spent 17 years at Circuit City Stores, most recently as evp and chief merchandising officer. He also served in senior leadership positions within sales, operations and installation at Circuit City.
