Sears named best in class for m-commerce initiatives
Hoffman Estates, Ill. Acquity Group has named Sears Holdings “overall best in class” for its mobile efforts. This ranking was reported in Acquity Group's second annual Mobile Commerce Audit 2010, which identifies companies and industries that are leading the charge with mobile initiatives.
The audit looked at metrics across 18 different categories, including device detection across five browsers (iPhone OS, Android OS, BlackBerry OS, Palm webOS and Windows CE) and mobile applications for catalog and checkout functionality.
"Sears has once again proven themselves adept at leveraging the mobile channel and is, for the second year in a row, ranked in the top ten of retailers for mobile commerce according to Acquity Group's Mobile Audit," said Tom Nawara, Acquity group VP digital design & strategy.
