Sears honored for mobile efforts

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Sears Holdings announced that it has been named by Acquity Group as "Overall Best-in-Class" for its mobile efforts as well as "Best-in-Class" for the mass merchant industry.

"Ranked seventh in the 2009 Internet Retailer 500 list, Sears has once again proven themselves adept at leveraging the mobile channel and is, for the second year in a row, ranked in the top ten of retailers for mobile commerce according to Acquity Group's Mobile Audit," said Tom Nawara, Acquity group VP digital strategy and design. "Sears Holdings' implementation of optimized sites across multiple mobile OS platform/browsers, mobile apps for both iPhone and Android, and m-commerce checkout put them at #6 in this year's assessment."
