Sears Holdings names head of home fashions
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.-- Sears Holdingsannounced that retail veteran Chris Capuano will jointhe company as SVP and president home fashions. She will be responsiblefor the oversight, leadership and growth of the in-store and onlinemerchandising of home fashions in both the Sears and Kmart formats.
"Chris has had extensive experience in leading all aspects of homefashions," said John Goodman, EVP apparel and home for Sears Holdings. "Herdedication and background will be a strong asset as we continue to evolveour brands at both formats."
Capuano most recently served as EVP, GMM home and footwear at Kohl'swhere she was responsible for the growth and profitability of more than 900stores across the country. Prior to joining Kohl's, Chris was the SVP homefor Federated Merchandising Group. During her eight-year tenure, she held anumber of positions of increasing responsibility and was credited withstrong leadership development, successful exclusive and private brandlaunches and overall profitability improvement. This success mirrored herdistinguished 16-year career with Macy's, where she was VP/DMM home textiles, before joining Federated. At Macy's, Chris grew her career in thehome and apparel categories starting as a buyer and ending as SVP home.
