Sears Holdings gets a new finance chief

Hoffman Estates, Ill. Sears Holdings Corp. has attained a new cfo from Capital One Finance Corp., the company announced Monday.

J. Miles Reidy, who once acted as cfo of Capital One’s credit card division, will be joining Sears Holdings as the retailer’s new cfo this October.

Currently, William Crowley, who holds positions as Sears Holdings’ evp, chief administrative officer and member of the board of directors, temporarily assumed the role of cfo before a replacement was found.

Crowley said that because of Reidy’s experience with analytical finance, he would help Sears Holdings in “testing and creating value through data-driven decisions.”
