4/27/2011

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- The ability to order a product online and pick it up at a local store is a service many retailers have only recently started providing, so it may be surprising to learn the Sears Holdings will be celebrating its 10th year of providing its Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store service.

"Sears was among the first to pioneer the Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store concept, which has given our customers another convenient way to shop online and more recently through their mobile devices," said Imran Jooma, president of e-commerce Sears Holdings. "We're excited to have already served millions of customers and look forward to millions more. The amount of customers that continue to utilize our Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store service clearly illustrates how much consumers value convenient and fast online shopping solutions. It is a true testament to our dedicated service and commitment to our customers."

Ship-to-store service is now available at several major retailers including Walmart, Target and Best Buy.
