Sears Canada to Add More Pop-Up Stores
Toronto Sears Canada Inc. is looking to open more pop-up stores for this year’s back-to-school season, according to a Global and Mail report.
To cater to those looking for school supplies and clothing, the temporary units will be located near colleges and universities.
Sears CEO officer Dene Rogers said during the company’s annual meeting in Toronto on Thursday that the move is a part of a bid to make the retailer “more relevant” to Sears shoppers, and boost overall business, the report said.
Sears Canada tested pop-up locations last fall and the company has said that they have been successful, according to the report.
