Sears brings back toys

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Sears confirmed reports that it will once again sell toys. The retailer will open in-store Toy Shops on Aug. 15 at select locations in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

The Sears Toy Shops will products from such brands as Fisher Price, LeapFrog, Hasbro, Bakugan and VTech, as well as exclusive brands like My First Craftsman, My First Kenmore and Just Kidz.

"Sears Toy Shops complete the family shopping experience," said Dev Mukherjee, president, seasonal and toys for Sears Holdings. "Right after mom finds her new Cannon bedspread and Dad picks up the latest Craftsman lawnmower, the family can visit the Toy Shop for the best in children's entertainment. Sears Toy Shops offer parents a new, convenient option to shop for toys, in the mall, just in time for the holiday season."
