10/17/2007

DALLAS CompUSA is targeting the small and medium business market. The company today announced that it has implemented a number of key initiatives as part of its plan to be the electronics retail leader in this lucrative area.

Leading the effort is newly hired Bob Sayewitz, who joined the company to operate its business sales and services and oversee the implementation of the company's small and medium business strategy. Sayewitz had previously worked for CompUSA for 13 years. He is returning to the company after his role as president and founder of Command Solutions, created to provide technical service and support to small and medium businesses in the Dallas - Fort Worth area.

According to the company, CompUSA has increased the number of products available to small business customers, with more than 250,000 products available at www.compusabusiness.com from key manufacturers such as HP, Microsoft, Apple and Lenovo. Additionally, the company is offering products such as network attached storage, VoIP phone systems, smart phones for businesses, video surveillance and audio conferencing systems. It is also offering more commercial products, such as higher end networking routers and switches, servers, commercial-grade laptops, desktops and workstations, digital signage and POS systems.

"Earlier this year CompUSA embarked on the most aggressive business strategy in the company's history to focus on its core customers that include the tech enthusiast, educated professional and small and medium business. While it's early in the game, our hard work and commitment is paying off," said Roman Ross, president and ceo of CompUSA. "We are determined to be the leading electronics retailer for small for medium businesses and our recent achievements demonstrate our commitment to this vision."
