Sanyo North America names new president

SAN DIEGO Sanyo North America Monday announced that it has appointed Masami Murata as the company's new president.

Murata has been an executive with Sanyo for over 33 years. According to the company, he is expected to remain in his role as president of Sanyo Energy (USA), a subsidiary of Sanyo North America.. “I am deeply honored to be given this new assignment,” Murata commented. “I look forward to working with all Sanyo North America employees, customers and suppliers to maximize our unique assets and opportunities.”
