Samsung Electronics America has opened what it describes as a “living lab” and “digital playground” in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan.

Designed as a physical representation of the Samsung brand, Samsung 837 is a flagship experience meant to underscore how the brand’s signature services and technology – ranging from mobile devices to home appliances – can make life better. The state-of-the-art, three-floor 837 is packed with eye-popping features, including a giant digital screen made from 96 55-inch Samsung visual displays. Located in front of a stadium-seating theater, the screen is programmed with content ranging from live streams, demos and showcases to panels, presentations, and screenings.

There is also a state-of-the-art immersive virtual reality experience that allows visitors to ‘step into’ a virtual world and be transported anywhere.

The space also includes a customer care center offering one-on-one service to Samsung customers, a café, and an art gallery featuring regularly commissioned technology-based art installations. A kitchen area offers a next-gen culinary environment with workshops and chef demonstrations of new Samsung technology.
