Samsung brings the next little thing to retail
Technology leader Samsung Electronics has introduced a new line of small interactive digital displays to replace printed posters and help brands and retailers drive sales.
The new 22 inch and 10 inch displays Samsung introduced to its Smart Signage product lineup are designed to drive increased interactivity thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity and touchscreen technology.
“Our new small-form factor displays offer a simple, smart and cost-effective way for businesses to transition from static posters and take advantage of the opportunities presented by interactive and dynamic digital technology,” said Tod Pike, SVP of Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division.
According to Pike, the products were developed as a result of Samsung relentless focus on developing innovative digital signage offerings that provide businesses with new solutions for enhancing customer engagement, operational efficiency and communications.
For example, the 22 inch model is available with or without touchscreen capabilities and is well-suited as a replacement for small static posters that are common in the retail environment. The 10 inch model works in shelf level or cash register applications. And because of Wi-Fi connectivity, the units’ only cabling requirements are a power cord.
