Sam's Club launches e-recycling program

4/30/2008

STERLING, Va. Sam's Club has launched a new online electronics recycling service to help members get rid of their unwanted small to medium size electronics. ecoNEW, operated by N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, allows Sam’s Club Members to trade in their older electronics for a gift card which is determined by a recycle trade-in value generated through the Web site(www.econewonline.com/samsclub).

We are thrilled to be partnering with Sams Club on this exciting first retail launch of ecoNEW, said Tony Nader, president and ceo of NEW. With such growing demands by consumers for environmental programs, ecoNEW gives retail customers a great eco-friendly solution for disposing of electronics while also getting cash value back that they can use with the retailer. The strength of the program lies in this win-win scenario.
