Sam's Club goes back to school in good health

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — While new clothes and supplies may top most back-to-school lists, Sam's Club is reminding parents that a clean bill of health is also a must for the school year. On Aug. 11, allSam's Clubs with a pharmacy will host free children's health screenings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.



At the screenings, parents and guardians can pick a free DNA and fingerprint kit, while supplies last. The kit enables parent to protect children in the event they are ever lost. Caregivers can also pick up a Sesame Street "Healthy Teeth, Healthy Me" kit, a multimedia dental care kits that teaches children about oral health and will be available in both English and Spanish.



Sam's Club will also provide body mass index, blood pressure and vision screenings.



"Reinforcing healthy habits for children is an important part of back-to-school planning, and Sam's Club is proud to help parents accomplish this responsibility for the second year in a row," said Jill Turner-Mitchael,SVP Sam's Club health and wellness. "We have provided 1.4 million free health screenings in the past year and a half, and we remain committed to providing quality health solutions for the entire family."
