Saints quarterback a natural fit for Wrangler
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Wrangler has drafted New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees to endorse its denim brand.
One of the most decorated and respected quarterbacks in the NFL, Brees joins Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brett Favre as brand ambassadors. He will be featured in upcoming marketing campaigns, scheduled to launch in August.
Wrangler turned to Brees because of his reputation as a driving force behind the New Orleans Saints and the city of New Orleans since 2006. With a Super Bowl ring under his belt, Brees holds the NFL’s single-season passing record, an impressive 5,476 yards.
“Both on and off the field, Drew has proven himself to be a determined, down-to-earth man that many people look up to and respect,” said Craig Errington, VP of Wrangler marketing. “His dependability, work ethic and family values make him a natural fit for Wrangler. He epitomizes the core values of our brand, and we look forward to cheering him on during the 2013 season and beyond.”
“When I’m off the field I just want to be comfortable,” said Brees. “Wrangler jeans help me do just that. I’ve always admired Wrangler and what the brand stands for, and am honored to be a part of this partnership.”
Brees will be featured in national advertising, promotions and in-store signage for the Wrangler Five Star Premium Denim line. The line is available nationwide at value-minded retailers like Walmart, Kmart and Target, and offers consumers top quality men’s clothing priced at around $20.
